WELCOME TO THE MORNING SUN!!!!

Hello everyone! Welcome to the new dawn of The Morning Sun! Originally incepted by Hana, The Morning Sun was a weekly family newspaper meant to catalogue the weekly happenings of the family into a Sunday chronicle, nearly 15 years ago. In homage to the one and only original Morning Sun, the Lubis clan has decided to reincarnate a second era — albeit with different circumstances and goals. As the Wahi household evolves into the Wahi diaspora, we hope that this will become an effective, interesting, and memorable way to communicate and trade deep-dives into our collective lives, wherever we may be. And so, we hope that everyone participates with similarly high levels of enthusiasm and interest, as we support each other through the ups and downs of the future. And hopefully, it will enable a creative side of you, as well :)

AND!!!! Before I forget -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANA!!!! <3 

Blog Guidelines

Topic - Almost anything is fine! You can talk about your life (recently or overall), your goals, something that’s on your mind, something you want to champion, something you’re really proud of, a memory that’s important to you (or funny or entertaining :^) ), or something that’s bothering you, any of that or more! 

Contents - Please keep the content family-friendly (no bad words, etc.), and try to include photos (or videos or gifs are okay too!) to provide some visuals. It doesn’t always have to be wholesome or positive; life isn’t always like that and that’s okay! If you’re not sure if a topic or content is appropriate, feel free to consult with me (Wasil) :) 

There is no set minimum length or maximum length — I just ask that you don’t make it just one paragraph or a few sentences, and that if your main content is a video (which is fine!) to put some text of description or background information. Treat it as an opportunity to express yourself and have fun, rather than homework  Let’s keep the content rich!

Labeling - Please "label" your post with your name as well as "Sunday Series"  (see image below) so that we can easily find your posts.

Scheduling - Please take note of your schedule dates. These dates are WHEN THE POST WILL GO UP — not when you write the posts. Please have your post prepared as a draft by Saturday (although, preferably sometime the week before), and schedule your post to go up on Sunday morning. There is functionality that allows you to write drafts and save them in Blogger, as well. If you have a conflict or anticipate having a conflict, please confer with someone (or Wasil) about swapping posting dates, preferably A WEEK in advance. Of course this is for our enjoyment, so if something happens last minute, I don’t want you to feel like you have prioritize this over your work or schooling priorities. But!!! (haha Wasil said butt) Please be responsible and don’t last minute cancel or reschedule because you forgot >_< I will try my best to remind the author a week in advance.

Commenting — Please leave a supportive comment for each post ^_^ Especially for the younglings.

Video hosting - if you have a video that you want to include, we can host it on Hana/Luqman’s old YouTube channel. Let Wasil know :) 

Bonus posts - if you would like to add an additional bonus post during the week (like if you had a major achievement, want to extend a special congratulations, or just want to post more often than every few months), just let me know! Based on supply we can do 1 (or more!) extra posts during the week if there are any extra :)
